Clean Eating

 
What!? You mean clean eating isn't about eating while cleaning or making sure the food your consuming isn't dirty!? ;)

When I first heard of eating clean I had no idea what all it entailed. A girlfriend and I decided we had had enough of our weight gain and decided we were going to get back into our old routine back at the gym and switching up what we ate. She had been told about clean eating through a friend and mentioned it to me. I thought this is something different and I was down to try it.

With doing some research on my own I have really began to understand what is considered clean and what isn't. It was time to say goodbye to foods I thought were more healthier for you when I realized they really weren't! There are so many foods out there that are deceiving and tell the consumer they are healthy or low/non fat. When in reality they stuff those foods with other unhealthy ingredients.

The root of clean eating comes down to eating foods in their most natural state.  Avoid refined sugars and processed foods. Instead of white bread and pasta switch to whole grains. The fewer the ingredients the better..anything over an handful or with ingredients you can't pronounce are not considered clean.  Anything with a long list of ingredients is not clean.
